April 3, Sunday, 2 PM: Come Meet Cornelia “Fly Rod” Crosby, Champion of Maine
She was born in 1864 and became an accomplished fisher, hunter, and journalist who wrote about fishing and hunting.  When Maine required all fishing and hunting guides to get licenses, “Fly Rod” was the first person to qualify. Her story is one of perseverance and the breaking of barriers in the 1800’s.

• Pam Matthews will portray “Fly Rod” and tell her story.  Pam is from Maine and now lives in Carbondale.
• Pam wrote a book to bring “Fly Rod’s” story to more people. For those wishing to buy a signed copy of the book, please bring $20 cash or check.
