Cobden Christmas in the Village

“Christmas in the Village” Saturday, December 4
Sponsored by the Cobden Community & Business Association
and the Village of Cobden

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the downtown park shelter (north end of park) from 1-3:30p.m.
Goody bags will be given out. Carolers will start around 3p.m. Cobden School Band will play
in the downtown park at 4:00p.m. Presentation of the Christmas Lights, downtown park
shelter (after band concert).

Wagon rides will be given around town from 1:00-3:30p.m. (meet outside of the Old Feed
Store, N. Appleknocker). If weather is bad outside events will be cancelled. Cobden Peach
Queen, Hanna Stillman, is scheduled to attend several of the events. Cobden Food Pantry
donation boxes will be at the downtown shelter and Cobden Village Shops.
Union Congregational Church Open House, 115 W. Ash, 9a.m.-3p.m. Historic church will
feature an exhibit on the works of C. Joe Thomas (carvings and paintings). Thomas was a
Cobden native, co-founder of the Union County Museum, and a talented artist. A collection of
Nativity Scenes will also be featured.

Christmas Shop at Union County Museum, 117 S. Appleknocker, 9a.m.-4:00p.m., featuring
Christmas decorations, artificial trees, collectibles, gifts, and other related items for sale.
Museum will be open.

St. Joseph Church Bazaar, 304 W. Ash (west side of town, Parish Hall behind church), 8a.m.-
2p.m., featuring home-made goodies, jellies, salsa, crafts, gifts, and raffle. Lunch served
11:00a.m.-2p.m. (will be serving a variety of homemade soups).

Apostolic Lighthouse Church Bazaar, 432 S. Front, 9a.m.-2p.m. Home-made goodies
including Christmas candies, cookies, pies, cakes, and relishes.

Cobden Village Shops/Packrats Paradise (antique mall and more), 220 S. Front, 10a.m.-5p.m.
Shop will have Christmas specials, vintage/art merchandise and bakery. Massage by Cherry &
Reflexology by Chuck will offer $5 off coupons with purchase.
